Anyone using a regular maid service? How frequently do you have the service clean your place? What do you do with your dogs/cats/etc while they are at your place?

and finally, recommendations?

I've heard of merry maids, carolina maids, maid brigade, but that's about it.

I used a person related to someone that I knew. She was awesome. She had no proplem the the parrots. I think when she cleaned my parents house for super deep cleans (rather than the person that comes weekly) we put the dogs in the basement or car.

I had mine cleaned once a month, most will not do this, but I knew her personally.

I also know someone else, it depends alot on how big your place is and how heavy the cleaning is.

i would find a person that cleans houses and not a service like merry maids or any other of those big services. i just feel like you get much better service and they actually clean your place, instead of just sloshing dirty water around.

we use this guy, jeff hinton, i can get you his # if you are interested (and local...raleigh area). he does a good job and cleans our house every 2 weeks. doesn't care about the animals...just lets them do their thing while he cleans.

also there are a few people on this site that clean so maybe they're looking for new clients

we use merry maids - they come every other week - never had a problem

my wife and i used to fight about cleaning because basically i never did it and now no more fights - worth every penny
