Last season was nowhere near what the first three delivered IMO, I'm hoping this year steps it back up.

Special LIVE episode on October 14. It will be broadcast as it is performed TWICE, once for east coast and once for west. This is really cool.

I thought most of last season was quality.

Live episodes seem so gimmicky. "Hey let's do an episode where we can't edit it out if we screw something up."

^^^True, but since this is a single camera comedy, itll be a completely different feel for the show. My guess is the majority of the show will revolve around a broadcast of TGS.

It's actually "What a shitty job", but yeah, I just listened to it like 15 times in a row, and I can't tell anything else that it would be besides that. It actually sounds like it could be "what a shitting job" but it does sound like they slipped one past the censors with that one.

I flat out love Pete. And I liked the whole Janet being producer thing. But I didn't like how she ended it herself...it wasn't a very Janet-type thing to do. I guess the third cast member is gone now that he's on Glee.

I'm guessing the episode was making a reference to the show itself is cutting budgets like Scrubs did the last real season...talking about characters as if they were involved with the plot without actually showing them so the actor doesn't get paid (in this case, Elizabeth Banks). I'm kind of surprised they were able to keep Matt Damon, and give him A LOT of air time this episode, but couldn't get an in-person Avery.

^Seemed like they didn't know what to do with the 3rd cast member last season. IIRC, he was barely used at all. I'm guessing they chose Matt Damon over Elizabeth Banks because he's clearly a stronger draw for ratings.

But it isn't far-fetched to think that the reason they didn't have both was for budget. Unless she was doing a movie because I haven't heard of any other projects featuring her.

Cash cab I thought was good, and some of the tape parts were good, but the rest of it was sort of blah to me. The whole editing team I could have done without.

The entire Tracy/cash cab bit was classic. And I loved the tapes.

But I agree the editing team thing felt like a space filler. I thought Paul Giamatti was great (as he always is), but the story involving him was lame.

I think my favorite part of the whole episode was Jack punching Lutz.

They way the HR guy reacted to Jack making him hire Kenneth, I thought it was going to end up being a high up position, bringing full circle season one when Jack said "we will either be working for him or dead by his hand."
