The synopsis is weird because of how it's only semi-related to the trailer. I also do not know if this is another mockumentary that people are trying to label as "real" or if it's actually legit. At any rate, I probably won't check this thread again until I'm able to see the movie because it looks to be extremely spoiler/troll worthy.

I saw it this past weekend. Definitely learn as little as you can about the movie before you go.

The one thing I will say is that the marketing has been misleading as far as how "scary" it is. But there are some twists, so I recommend watching it without reading about it.

Honestly, I'm kind of hoping a DVDSCR will leak soon because I'm thinking the more time that passes, the more likely I'm to run into a "Verbal Kent = Keyser Soze scrap paper at the box office" scenario.

Unfortunately not. It opened at North Hills last weekend and didn't do very well, so they're putting it in Crossroads and maybe Brier Creek and that's it.

Just got home from seeing it. It was okay. I had high hopes with Andrew Jarecki producing, but low expectations with all the hoopla surrounding it. The reality was somewhere in the middle. I think the real mystery, in the end, was what the hell was going on with Nev's chest hair. Robin Williams would be jealous.
