last minute trip came up - going there for work and leaving tomorrow and landing tuesday - tips/things to see/etc?
will be there until at least friday - it's a one way ticket and probably heading to tokyo after that for a few days

It's going to be hot.
Stay at the Traders if you want a 5 star experience on the cheap. Club floor = yes.
If you just want cheap, stay in Chinatown. Walk around the street markets if you aren't squeamish.
I hear the Batu caves are cool. Elephant tours can be good depending on your guide, but plan to spend all day. KL tower is kinda meh. If you want to hit the major tourist spots the hop on hop off bus is a good way to see the city.
They say the night markets are where it's at, food-wise. The Reggae Bar in Chinatown can be a nice break if you're craving western food by about the third or fourth day.

pretty shocked nobody commented on the typo in the thread title
i left malaysia - for anyone going i recommend petaling jalan at night - don't go too late on a week day though
also be sure to eat some Bak Kut Teh
it was fun but nowhere near as great as hong kong where i am now
