I bought concert tickets ~1.5 mos ago not entirely thinking when I bought them, and I already had a wedding to attend that same weekend. The tickets have been purchased, but not yet delivered (e-ticket that i will download once available to seller).
I would like to just get a refund (for a fee of course) so the seller can just put them back up and be done with it. Anyone had any luck with that? Is that even possible?
If not, I guess I'll just put the tickets back up on StubHub and wait for that delivery then send it to whomever buys the tickets from me. (if I can even do that)
TIA!

You can't get a refund on purchased tickets. That would destroy their entire business model. Say I bought some Panthers tickets for a November game earlier this summer. Now, hey look, the Panthers are terrible, and I don't want the tickets anymore. I'll just get my money refunded!
All ticket purchases are final. Your best hope that that the concert is in high demand, and that you can break even or even make a profit on the tickets. But you definitely won't be able to get your money back from the seller you purchased them from. This isn't Wal-Mart. 10/25/2010 2:32:04 PM |

I'm pretty sure you can do that, but that's probably your only option, especially with e-tickets.10/25/2010 3:24:49 PM |

With the event not til April, i thought a refund might work (or selling back to the seller for cheaper to eliminate the whole wait til he/she gets e-tix in April and i turn around and give them to someone else) which is why I asked. But refund won't work... ^ is my only option. So that's what I'll do.
And I have a calendar...I just wasn't thinking about APRIL 2011 when I bought the tix.

nope can't do refunds. Earlier this year a glitch in the stubhub computing system caused purchase of some tickets I had for sale. They emailed me and said they would honor the purchase and i ended up just selling tickets to nobody. I mailed stubhub the tickets and that was that.
best option would be to list them on stubhub or better yet craigslist (no fees) and try to resell them. Prob won't get all your money back but should be able to cut your costs down to a minimum.
good luck! 10/26/2010 9:33:36 PM |

Yeaaaaaah, question answered yesterday
But CL won't work...event is in Atlanta, and the window of anticipated date to download from the seller and the event is 7 days. I have to flip and sell again on SH
Anywho...problem solved. Moving on! 10/26/2010 10:10:52 PM |
