Now that TWC has ESPN3, I can watch random games from Europe and such. The most interesting aspect is where former collegiate players end up.

Right now, I'm watching Cholet Basket vs. Barcelona. Close one in the 4th quarter.

Barca: Terence Morris (Maryland) in addition to wonderkid Ricky Rubio
Cholet: DeMarcus Nelson (Duke)

Anyways, probably won't be many other posts in this thread, but still neat. FCB just won 84-77 and Nelson fouled out with 10 pts.

It's online. Used to be ESPN360. TWC finally delivered the goods when it signed a new deal with Disney/ABC.

I play ball three times a week with a couple of guys who play/played in Europe. One guy still plays in Greece (he is holding out right now, but should be going back soon). The other guy no longer plays, but used to play in Turkey and Greece. Both are flilthy and make us old white guys look like children playing against adults.

^you were probably thinking of Dominick Mejia, a Herb-era benchwarmer and eventual transfer.

I saw a video of Dominique Wilkins playing in Asia a year or so ago on a team with Vlade Divac. It was like watching one of those ancient wrestlers like Jimmy Snuka perform in a high school gym.

According to the Belgians, Horner is now playing in Cyprus.

Iverson expected to play Nov. 13th with his Turkish club. A.J. Ogilvy is on his team. He played well while he was at Vanderbilt.

In other news, Horner looks like he's the first guy off the bench at his club in Cyprus (HASAPIS OMONIA NICOSIA). He scored 12 points in 23 minutes including 2-2 from 3pt range.

Looking through some of the euro teams, there are some neat coincidences.

The Belgian league Horner was originally in included Dexia Mons-Hainaut, which has Ben McCauley on its roster. McCauley's club had Brandon Costner on its roster last season.

Horner's new league in Cyprus includes Keravnos Strovolou who starts Courtney Fells. Fells' and Horner's teams squared off a couple of nights ago with Fells scoring 26.

Iverson's Besiktas-Fener.Ulker club is playing Engin Atsur's Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul the 20th of this month.

Nice flagrant foul by Mike Batiste, formerly of Arizona State.

I went to the State-Drexel NIT game in Philly. Gavin Grant got a rebound, went the length of floor (he was a PG, remember?), went 1 on 1 with Mejia and took it to the hoop. Drexel inbounded, and it went out of bounds right in front of me. I was on the front row (Drexel's seats go all the way to the floor). Mejia comes over and picks up the ball, and as he's within arm's length of me I say, "That's why Gavin plays at State and you had to transfer here." He was pissed and knew, right then and there, that I had a bigger dick than he did.

I like to credit my balls with at least part of State winning that game.

Iverson's new chant from his team's soccer club match. Since I started watching soccer, I've always wished we could pull this off in football or basketball.

Iverson scored 15 last night in a 94-91 loss.

He plays Atsur's team Sunday but Engin has a ruptured tendon so he's won't be playing.

I think they may have the wrong game listed. That's not Iverson's team.

FYI, the game at 2:45 does feature CSKA Moscow, home of Alaska's best athlete ever and former Blue Devil, Trajan Langden. The JJ Redick before JJ Redick. Kid could ball.
