I have a ThinkPad T60p with windows xp that's gone completely unstable and I want to reinstall the image. But I don't have the T60p recovery cds so I'm trying to figure out how to recreate them but they aren't in my loadup settings or ThinkVantage programs. Do you know what directory they are in?

Also, if I create the recovery CDs will it completely wipe out my current HDD contents such as my personal files?

Any other thoughts?

i think you have to hold down the blue thinkvantage button when turning on the computer and it brings up the recovery program. Im pretty sure there is a recovery partition already on the hard drive.
