So, does anybody here have one still? I've been wanting one for a while, and after playing w/Randy's 911 turbo, I think I want something more stupid. I don't know if I'm being retarded but I found an e30 w/a turbo M50 in it (quite the ratty car though), that I'm getting the warm and fuzzies about. I'd originally wanted an M20 turboed to an inch of it's life with all stock internals, but I do really like the M50 engine, which puts me in this conundrum...

It's a regular m50? They have a pretty sting bottom end and make more power with leas boost. If it was done right that car is probably your beat bet. But think of it as a drift car because you can't fit enough tire under them to keep traction.

that turbo oil feed line looks kinda suspect... seems the oil has to flow up before down to the turbo. no beuno

Feed line should be under pressure so it should be no biggie. If the drain line did that, I'd be worried about burning a lot of oil in the turbo.

look at that cute little downpipe hahahaha. doesnt an I6 need a much bigger turbo? Maybe its just not scaling correctly in my brain because i'm used to looking at 4 bangers.

get it and we will build it up!!!!!!!

My turbo oil line goes up like that but probably higher (the tap is in the middle of the back of the block). I dont have the water cooling lines hooked to the turbo either. Its still going. >6k miles at 18psi.

Yeah Quinn it is a bitty turbo I don't know why but in the subie world a gt30r is an average larger turbo. The e30 guys get a woody like you wouldn't believe over little turbos. I'm guessing based on the size of that turbo that he doesn't have a good head gasket or arp studs or anything. I'd get it and get Vac's mls headgasket And arp head bolts.
