your only other viable options are AT&T u-verse or naked DSL.

if you can't get u-verse, don't bother.

it's quite possible that your neighbors have a lower speed tier than you're thinking. RR lite is 768kbps down, basic is 1.5mbps down, standard is 7, and turbo is 10.

i mean, time warner's customer service leaves much to be desired... but when it comes to the actual quality of the service, i never really had any problems (other than their refusal to upgrade their speed tiers... but that's changing now too).

easiest thing to do is throw them a little more $ and get them to upgrade their service. sounds like they have the lite...at least get basic.

their billing depart is god damn retard, other then that, I've been using road runner since mid 90's before they started to break it up into tiers. I guess we have standard, but ours is through earthlink.net billing so TWC always fucks it up when we call them for service issues. Their basic tv is god damn horrible as we are paying 65 a month and loosing channels left and right. I want Fios and I want it now. Where is god damn Verizon when you need them.
