Aerosmith was pretty good
Randy was okay, but his cackling at the obviously bad contestants was a bit over the top
J.Lo was too nice. I thought she was a bitch IRL?

Anyway, here's a quick snippet from the Chicago Tribune that I mostly agree with:

I only watched the first 15 minutes with the gf before heading out to dinner...but did Steven Tyler continue to sing along and beat the desk like a drum to the rest of the contestants??

I saw a preview briefly at the gym and a younger looking guy was singing Josh Turner, not sure if that's the guy from Garner. He sounded like he was just trying to imitate Josh Turner when singing, so made me curious if he'd be able to sing anything else.

i've heard him sing before and he can do a variety of stuff, not just the deep deep stuff.

i don't know how he would do singing something other than country...but hey..he could definitely have a career..

Who the hell was the guy they showed a blip of from Asheville, NC last night? He did Rusty Cage the high part freaking flawlessly. One of Chris Cornell's most powerful and difficult notes.

They didn't even show his name... I hope he can survive group and all that cause that is a fucking voice right there.
