Know its a long shot, but has anyone on this board been to Ranger School? I'm going in about a month, and any advice or pointers would be great. 1/29/2011 3:01:50 PM |

My good buddy is the CO of Mountain phase in Dahlonega. I'd be happy to ask him anything you want to know, and keep it anonymous of course.

I bey there's like 10 people on here who've been. Half the damn army goes, not to mention handfuls of Marines and maybe others. 1/29/2011 4:45:06 PM |

Learn and know the Ranger Creed, be able say it front-ways and backwards, and not just that, but be able to live it. 1/29/2011 4:56:56 PM |

My future brother-in-law was an army ranger... I feel like the only advice he would give is to man up and do whatever they tell you, and don't shoot any deer if they're on the firing range - but if you really want I can ask him 1/29/2011 8:12:40 PM |

Hawthorne, go here http://armyranger.com/ for all questions you may have. Chances are, they have already been asked by others and answered by verified Rangers.
Also, a fair amount of googling would also provide you with many answers. 1/29/2011 8:17:44 PM |

I think I have some Ranger running cadence, not that that helps at all, but you could put it on the ipod for some moto pt 1/29/2011 9:09:59 PM |

Thanks for the website, I'll check it out - I'm not worried about the suckage or the PT, all of that is mental. I'm looking at more of 'I wish I had packed this, or I wish I knew this better before going' kind of things.
Yeah...Ranger Creed...pretty sure that's what kept me from getting Company Honor Grad, I had to settle for Platoon Honor Grad. 24 days to memorize that sucker. 1/29/2011 10:56:04 PM |

There are plenty of videos on Youtube of Ranger training. There's also a Discovery Channel special on it. 1/30/2011 1:36:52 PM |
