really? man i thought everyone had to read it in elementary school. AND it was totally on the accelerated reader list in middle school. AND beyond that it just seems like one of those rite of passage books that all kids read. i guess i'm wrong. i don't think i've ever met anyone that hasn't read it/seen the movie/known the story.
i was also a nerd child and own the book and have probably read it like 27 times. i was one of those sit in a tree and read 24/7 kids. like wouldn't do my chores or hw because i'd be reading.
