I'm not watching the Super Bowl, but I do love Super Bowl foods! If I were cooking this year, I'd make:

I am still trying to figure out what to bring for the super bowl party (if we make it, but it is looking more and more like we will)
It is a crock pot cookoff, and I was thinking of either of my crock pot bbq's... but apparently that is a pretty common thing where I'm going. hmmmm.... oh, and I don't feel like dong my chili either- also will probably be a couple of chili's there 2/4/2011 12:00:29 PM |

Crock Pot BBQ is the tits. Maybe you could do a beef brisket instead. That would be different and just as delicious. 2/4/2011 12:10:08 PM |

yeah, i have some recipies for sweet bbq pulled beef that is pretty damn tasty, but I've never done the ribs... seems interesting
as for sammiches, I love those damn ham sammiches, and another thing I've made before is open face mini reubens (also amazing). And as for buffalo dip in a crock pot- I feel like it works out better because you don't have to worry about it solidifying 2/4/2011 12:20:28 PM |

i might make these instead. they were supposed to be 'healthy'. i've yet to find much healthy about them, which makes me excited to make them....
1 cup butterscotch chips 1/2 cup honey 1/2 cup peanut butter 5 cups rice krispies
Everything but the krispies on medium heat until well melted/blended. Fold in krispies. 2/4/2011 1:48:11 PM |
Skwinkle burritotomyface 19447 Posts user info edit post |
uh, who exactly called those healthy? 2/4/2011 1:54:53 PM |
marlndarln All American 1859 Posts user info edit post |
couple of websites. i just searched something like: rice honey peanut butter rice crispy treats after I saw them on television (Today show I think?) where they also called them healthy. When i searched that string there were like 3-4 sites on the first page that had 'healthy' included in the name.
my shortest answer would be because there is no butter included.
slightly expanded, i would imagine these people see marshmellow product as evil, and honey sugar as health. 2/4/2011 2:00:02 PM |
