Can anyone point me in a good direction to find numbers on transaction data created across industries? Not really concerned with the time period (day/week/year) as much as I'd like to understand the increase in volume over the past 10-15 years.

I've dug around on SAS, SAP and Oracle for white papers but haven't found anything aligned with what I'm looking for. There's a lot of information about there about the entire Digital Universe and the exponential growth, but not much on actual transaction data volumes...

if you're a student, go onto datamonitor and the business databases from the library.

if you're not a student, be prepared to pay up, this kind of market research data is expensive as piss.
