type in LOVE to the promo code box and get 80% off.

some of them require a minimum purchase...but all in all you save quite a bit, especially on some of the nicer/pricier places listed.

and some can be applied to alcohol as well.

spreading the Vday cheer.

you'll have to create an account to make the purchase.

when you add something to your cart it will let you use the code then.

most of the ones i got only have minimus of $35 for the $25 certificate...and they are all good for alcohol too, so it's not too bad. I pretty much only got ones like that.

The funny thing is: The new place up there selling gift certificates

and they are on craigslist trying to sell, cuz they are going out of business too.

I just check the Raleigh area constantly for Jibarra and The Mint, the only restaurants worth getting coupons for on their selection (the rest are weird obscure pizza/asian places outside of the beltline sorta). Jibarra coupons are good towards alcohol as well. We use them to have brunch there, which is fantastic.

when it says "dinner only" does that mean that it excludes alcohol or you just have to come in and eat at dinner?

So if they say "Minimum Purchase of $50", does that mean that even if I have a $100 gift card I have to pay $50? Or if I have a $100 gift card would my meal be free?

it wont say minimun 50 for a 100 GC.

like it would say for a $25 gift card, minimum $35 purchase...meaning youd only be paying $10 when it would normally be 35. split that between two people and 5 bucks for $35 worth of food isnt too bad.

when it says DINNER ONLY it still includes alchy.

I got one for Boylan Bridge and ole time BBQ.

Wish the mint and jibarra werent out of stock.

The minimum changes with the amount of the certificate at each restaurant. Normally the minimum purchase is up to double the amount of the certificate. So the $50 minimum is only for the (I'm guessing) $25 cert, so you would have to pay at least $25 there to use it. If you got the $50 cert the minimum would be $100, and so on. Most of the $25 certs have $35 minimum though, which is a lot less sucky.

^It should be something along the lines of a $25 gift card has a $35 min price purchase. So you're paying 10 of the 35. It shouldn't say a minimum purchase of 50 on a coupon that's higher than the minimum purchase. Then again I've never bought a $100 or ever felt like I would need to.

Let's say you have a $25 restaurants.com gift certificate for some restaurant and it says minimum purchase of $35 to use the certificate.

So you spend $35, use the $25 gift certificate and still owe $10

I'm planning to go to Vegas this Summer and found out that the place where we had our wedding reception in Vegas is on restaurants.com

I got a $25 gift certificate for $10 (paid $2 after code)

So even if we don't go, I'm only out $2 but I'm sure if we go to Vegas, we will be eating at this restaurant. One of the best meals I've ever had.

yep. but it is a better deal than getting the $100.00 card with the $200.00 minimum.

and there is no expiration date.

you still have to spend at least $10 to get the $35 min

not saying it isn't a good deal, but saying you got $100 worth for $8 isn't accurate.

I use restaurants.com to try new restaurants out

So far I've tried:
Connolly's Irish Pub in Cary
Zayka Indian in Brier Creek
Coffee & Crepes in Cary

it is completely "accurate"

I will only have to pay 10 bucks over my bill each of the 4 times i go.

I will therefore eat/drink a total of $140, with the coupons covering 100 of that. So yes, I did get 100 dollars worth of food for the 8 bucks I paid.

you will have still spent $48 to get that $100 worth of food

plus this isn't factoring in tax/tip

i don't see why this is difficult to understand

There's a coupon code sent to me about twice a week (60-80% off usually). IMO, the best deal is typically with the $25 gift certificate that you have to spend $35 to use. If you are going to spend the money on dinner anyways, its not a bad idea to try it out.

The way I look at it, at a minimum you will spend $12 on a meal. With gratuity and probably a little extra for food you're out about $20 for a pretty nice dinner ($15-$20 entrees). Much better and probably cheaper than going to a chain and you get to try new places.

If you can find a place that lets you use it for alcohol then its a great deal. When I went to the National Championship in Glendale, we ate at a sports bar near ASU. The food and beer was so cheap, we ended up buying a couple beers for Auburn fans at the bar to get up to the $35 required for the gift certificate.

The ones I bought the other week say "No Expiration" on them. Probably depends on the restaurant.

^^you keep saying that, but I am. Yes, each time I use a coupon I will have to pay for 10 bucks more food than the coupon covers, but I'm still getting 25 bucks worth of food for the 2 bucks i paid for the coupon.
