I also loved Populous, although it got a little repetitive, and the same strategy worked every time (get ground to lowest level, make lots of the most powerful men, send them to fight).

This looks pretty cool.

This looks amazing, but I think I would get bored after about 20 minutes of fucking around with sand/water/lava.
