Just that we need a clean slate. This is a bad comparison but the Mets had Rick Peterson (a good pitching coach) last through a few coaching changes but eventually they ditched him with everyone else because at some point, a lower tier guy can't be more important to the program than the head guy. Especially when the team isn't even winning while he's hanging around

I *think* I see what you're trying to say. But you act as if a new coach can't co-exist with existing staff. Its one thing if Gottfried needs to let him go to make room for his people. But considering Gottfried doesn't have a pre-set staff, and Harris is a highly regarded recruiter, it would be dumb just to drop him b/c we should "clean house". You clean house after it gets dirty. Nothing was dirty about Lowe's tenure.

Yeah, Harris is a huge reason we've gotten a ton of players recently. Also, I've watched the team practice a couple hours before games a couple of times, and Harris worked harder coaching than anyone else. It seemed like he was the only one preaching fundamentals. He also looks like he had the best connection with the players.

Not to mention, it'd just be nice to have a little bit of continuity on the coaching staff. I'm all for getting rid of the dead weight (Towe/Strickland), but lets not throw the baby out with the bath water. Hopefully Gottfried recognizes Harris for the beast he is.
