I know this is [old] but worth rehashing because

Suffolk County Police said the fragment, uncovered in the shallow waters of Hemlock Cove near Oak Beach on Friday, has been shown through forensic testing to be from an animal." |

Why else would a trained forensic examiner and collectors of remains inadvertently grab a bone if it didn't appear to be strikingly human? There isn't enough info about this case, but there have been many reports of skeletons of all kinds surfacing around the area of Plum Island waterways and currents carrying strange things. And you're gonna tell me the Feds deployed Blackhawk helicopters and did the flyovers as described in the article due to standard protocol? Yes, I think the surplus of humanoid skeletons could be discarded genetic research subjects.

Are you insinuating the Montauk Monster killed these people? From what I remember the monster isn't all that big, maybe the size of a large dog.
I also didn't read the news article at all
