http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life-death-rebirth_deity
Quote : | "A life-death-rebirth deity, also known as a dying-and-rising or resurrection deity, is a god who is born, suffers death or a death-like experience, passes through a phase in the underworld among the dead, and is subsequently reborn, in either a literal or symbolic sense. Male examples include Asclepius, Orpheus, Mithras[citation needed], Krishna, Osiris, Tammuz,[1] Jesus, Zalmoxis, Dionysus,[2] and Odin. Female examples are Inanna, also known as Ishtar, whose cult dates to 4000 BCE, and Persephone, the central figure of the Eleusinian Mysteries, whose cult may date to 1700 BCE as the unnamed goddess worshiped in Crete.[3]" |

I wonder, in all of those religions, if the person whom was resurrected was seen alive after their resurrection? 4/23/2011 9:29:08 AM |

Yes God and Jesus are real because King James said so. This is excellent logic for you to pray daily and worship every Sunday. 4/23/2011 11:46:24 AM |

There are many other sources that document Jesus being seen alive than the bible. It wasn't that long ago either. It would probably be a good idea to try and chalk it up to Jesus never really being dead than to try and say it didn't happen at all. Rome kept good history. 4/24/2011 10:33:05 AM |

Even if it wasn't real, it would still be a great legend to live by and teach children. 4/24/2011 2:31:10 PM |

You sir are the first believer to make sense. Its a nice set of rules and ideals to live by. Not something to be taking to the extreme and thought of as "REAL". I cannot wrap my head around the idea that people actually pray to imaginary beings and think something will happen. Now I will quit before this becomes a soapbox thread.
