^^ the structure is in fine shape, and was recently updated, but they are mainly wanting more suites, and nicer amenities/features (e.g. the jumbotrons suck) and the Falcons would like for it to be an open stadium but everyone else wants another dome. Retractable is being looked at but they think it would be too much.

I'm really not sure why everyone is burning Atlanta so hard on this trade. The extra first they gave up will likely be 20+, and if Julio works out he'll be there for a long time.

IIRC, they drafted for defense pretty hard the last two years. Let them develop, sign some defensive line help, and see what happens.

^^they have no legitimate play-to-play pass rusher other than John Abraham, who is like 85 but unstoppable until he eventually hits rigor mortis

should have focused more on fortifying the defense as opposed to mortgaging the future on a first round WR, and for the record high first round WR's have a spotty track record as far as "success" goes

they are said to be looking to address D through free agency and they also have Witherspoon who was highly drafted last year but missed most of the year due to injuries. Dimitroff said in an interview that they basically view him as part of this draft class.

Dunta in the secondary with Moore and co. Could use some secondary help, and hell yes they need some young d-linemen unless John Abraham really has found the Lazarus pit.

That being said, Julio was a monster in college. We will see how he fairs now he'll be getting pressed a lot more, but I think it will turn out to be a pretty solid move for the Falcons.

At least when the Saints traded their entire draft for Ricky Williams, we were replacing the likes of Ray Zellars, Wilmont Perry, and Aaron Craver -- not jumping 20+ picks in a draft loaded with defensive talent

I can't wait to watch Foolio Jones go into an extended slump after he has a string of 3-for-34 games due to Matt Ryan tunnel visioning Roddy White to death like always
