Yeah, I went in expecting to be disappointed due to the PG-13 rating and the fact it was probably going to be like every other crappy horror movie...

but damn, great movie!

My dad thought the same thing because of the rating, but he says he's still a little creeped out going up the stairs ever since he noticed their house layout was identical to his

I thought that the first 2/3rds was great. It kind of went downhill when it dove into the "other realm" though.

I dunno, the other realm stuff was basically a classic house of horror amusement park ride, I liked it, it was well done with the long continuous takes. Either way the ending saved it.

The seance could have been so much better though but oh well. During the seance i was like "shit, is the movie going to suck from here on?" but it didn't.

Also it was amazingly hilarious when the main guy says "Oh God!" as a reaction to the demon bro sharpening his nails to that gay music.

I watched this on NetFlix the other night, and was surprised with how good it was. Really scared me a lot!


I highly recommend it. Also a sequel is coming out in 2013
