Although I have bought some mp3s through Itunes via a gift certificate given to me but I quickly uninstalled it after that.

I am super fail by this thread standards, I could find 20 apple products without looking. Ill run down the short list:

1 airport extreme base station
2 airport express
2 last gen iPod Nano
1 last gen iPod classic
1 even older iPod classic
1 apple magic mouse
1 apple keyboard wireless
1 apple keyboard wired
1 iPhone 3G
1 iPhone 3GS
1 iPhone 4
1 2011 MacBook Pro
1 2007 MacBook Pro
1 2008 MacBook
1 Last gen iPad
I also have 3 older iPods from highschool including a mini an og iPod touch and a nano

That's everything I can think of ATM, I will photo them later to prove that steve jobs has my balls in an iVice.

Apple was voted the least environmentally friendly tech company of 2010 (though I don't recall by which organization) which is ironic given that Al Gore is on their board of directors.

That being said I own an iPod classic and Iphone 3GS which I'll probably replace with an iPhone 5 in the fall.

Had an iPhone. Got fed up with it and iTunes, switched.

I still have Apple products from work, but that iPhone will be the last one I buy.

i've never owned anything made by apple because every time i was looking to purchase a device whose function is served by an apple product, a little research presented me with a better product with a lower price (in my case, at least half the price)...for example:

apple ipod <<< sandisk sansa running rockbox
apple tv <<< patriot box office
apple airport <<< tp-link tl-wr1043nd
apple macbook <<< dell XPS13
apple itunes <<< every other option

the only thing in that list that might be arguable is the macbook vs dell XPS13...the dell runs hot (though my old HP ran hotter) and it's heavy, but between the discrete graphics and proc, it ran much faster than a macbook costing twice the price, and the extra weight and marginally higher heat output is well worth the increase in performance

i realize the whole apple thing of "it just works," but i rarely have trouble with the products i choose over apple's equivalent, so it's a moot point...my stuff isn't usually as pretty, either, but i prefer a lower price and functionality over form

i don't want a medal or a cookie...i just look down on those who think their apple products are functionally better than ALL of their equally- or lesser-priced non-apple counterparts (obviously apple stuff IS quality and is better than a great deal of the competition)

i was forced into using apple products at work...

so i bought my first apple laptop so i could do work at home and on the road if needed...

then one day i realized i could barely function trying to use a PC anymore...

i'm not an apple purist or anything...it's just what i'm used to now and i'm ok with that

Don't worry about that either, Macbook's don't exactly run cool either.

To their credit their customer service is fantastic (at least for me). When my iPod broke 4 years after I bought it they replaced it for free and even paid for the shipping.

and FTR I've had an iPod for almost 6 years and have never purchased music (or anything else) off iTunes

when i bought my mba this year, i couldn't find another same-sized laptop w/ a ssd that was = or < in price. a comparable dell was $200 more. i refused to own hp or anything like that. bad past experiences. i use ssds bc i sit in a rocking chair at home, & rock A LOT, & don't want to mess up a computer with moving parts. i used to have an ibm & i would have to sit perfectly still bc the hard drive would stop when i moved (an automatic protection feature).

i do really like my dell precision t3500 w/ win7 at work though. the mouse/cursor tracking on an apple is kinda weird & i wouldn't want to use one for what i do at work (and playing wolfenstein )

Seriously... i wanted to hate mac... but after my ASUS laptop died 2 months after its 2 year warranty went out... and i decided i wanted to try my hand at making an App... i got a macbook pro. and its awesome. 2.5 years latter this thing still acts like a new computer even compared to my brand spanking new lenovo x201 with extended life battery my much older macbook is faster, thinner, lighter has a larger screen with the same profile and even the 2 year old battery lasts longer.

I can understand not wanting an iphone now but, not wanting an iphone when the 3g came out is like hating on HD or technological improvement in general. I mean the first iphone (2g) what a HUGE leap forward in phone tech however the slow internet made it otherwise annoying. Then the 3g came out and NOTHING WAS CLOSE! so i feel into apple there.

Ipods etc i don't really care, i've never been a big fan of itunes either and buy most of my music from amazon as to not have DRM crap on it.

when my verizon contract runs out later this year, i'll move up to a smartphone (i currently use whatever the motorola flip that was free at the time of renewal)...i'm leaning toward something running android, but at that point i will give the iphone a serious look...it may become my first apple product

The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to jailbreak if you want full control over what you put on your phone.

Allow me to start by saying that my iPhone developed the lovely "feature" that any time I was near 70% battery life remaining it would just power off. Sometimes it would turn back on, sometimes it wouldn't. That was the straw that broke the camel's back. Took it back to Apple, got it replaced, sold it.

Most of my gripes came from the fact that iTunes and the iPhone never actually worked the way I wanted to. I can't really explain how happy I was to get a new computer and a) not have to find some random iTunes database so that it didn't have to reformat my phone and b) not have to worry about getting iTunes back on the computer.

I own an iPod and an iPhone. Plan to get a Macbook Pro at some point this year. My only beef with the iPhone is I want custom text message sounds without jailbreaking it.

I bought an Ipod in 2004, and the thing literally crapped out on me right after the warranty expired. Needless to say, I haven't bought any Apple product since.
