I wanted to offer an idea for compromise. I noticed that a few of my threads have been trashed or moved to "Chit Chat" almost as if the mods have a reason I'm not doing the right thing here. Perhaps if the mods can explain in a sentence or phrase why the thread did not belong where it needed to be when it alerts me that my thread has been moved or trashed.
This would help the user learn where the errors are, and this would hold mods somewhat accountable when reported to the TWW master.
You have to admit, these mods are getting out of hand. Not out of hand like Jackleg... who suspended the hell out of everyone just to do it. But a little too nitpicky without the policy backing them when they intervene. 5/9/2011 12:34:14 PM |

This could definitely be put in your already active Feedback Forum thread.
But I do agree. Most forums have a policy where mods PM you for warnings or moving a thread. Probably isn't too much to ask for. 5/9/2011 1:29:11 PM |

The procedure is to reply to the auto-pm asking why the thread was moved, if you are concerned. I seriously doubt we're going to be composing pms every time we move a thread...your best bet is to ask qntm to do some coding and request a reason when we're moving it.
And yeah, being that this thread is pretty much a duplicate of your other FF thread, I'm betting the moves/deletes/locks are mostly warranted in your case.]5/9/2011 7:13:40 PM |

I'm thinking more of a proactive approach from the mod side on what wrong and right is in regards to TWW.
What we know is in the description, so most of us post in the description of the forum and it gets locked because I didn't search through 150 pages worth of material to find my answer. Or because it wasn't "lounge" material enough for the mod.
Just saying, there's a lot of mod activity, and if they can tell folks what's being done wrong and hold everyone accountable for that same wrong, there would be happier users. 5/10/2011 1:55:21 AM |
