^^^It has an Immunization module that uses the HOSTS file, permissions.sqlite file (Firefox), urlfilter.ini file (Opera), ActiveX killbits, and a couple other things to protect the computer against threats.
It's all I really use it for now, but I may actually use its scan again if it doesn't suck as much as it has in recent years. 5/12/2011 5:33:35 PM |

I wish MSE would do a better job against rootkits and rogue AVs. I almost bought a handful of Malwarebytes licenses from newegg the other day because they were 14.99. I may again look into their corporate model. Their watchdog process seems like it's really the best I've come across.
Maybe VIPRE's corporate solution is in the running as well. Spybot's teatimer is just fucking annoying and the end user will 99% of the time just click yes until it goes away. 5/12/2011 6:53:43 PM |

Indeed, I've stopped using TeaTimer; in fact whenever I would install Spybot 1.6.2 (latest stable version), I would uncheck all of the check-boxes. However, the beta is not so bad...
Also, I think Patrick Michael Kolla fixed the issue with immunization of Opera 10+ and also added some more user accounts for IE to the Immunization list. 5/13/2011 3:19:05 AM |
