To them, humans can rightly be called creatures, but not animals.

damn classification of living beings has changed so much over the years.

when i was in high school we had 5 kingdoms (animals, plants, fungi, protists, monera [bacteria/blue-green algae]).

now it seems like there are "super-kingdoms" and several kingdoms within them.
