Redeemio has a deal going on now $89 for a Keratin treatment
iheartkisses is a big advocate for this treatment and her hair looked incredible after she got it done.

My friend gets it done and swears by it. She can still wear her hair wavy - the treatment cuts out all the frizz so her head doesn't rival one of a standard poodle.
I really want to get it done. It's impossible for my hair to stay decent in the summer time. I think once I get the rest of my credit card paid off I'm going to treat myself to this. 5/30/2011 4:28:11 PM |

This is for a limited time only on Redeemio and I'm not even sure when it expires :/
Also, I'm not sure if it comes with the after-treatment stuff too. ] 5/30/2011 4:30:11 PM |

Quote : | " Everything comes at a price. Recently, there were many negative reviews of Brazilian Keratin Treatment in the press. It was discovered that the formaldehyde solution used to straighten the hair is very dangerous for our health. The safe percentage of formaldehyde (approved by FDA) is considered 0.2%. However, the solution used in many salons has a 2% concentration, which is ten times higher than the recommended dose. Many specialists claim that this substance is extremely toxic, being a cause of cancer. Of course, all this does not sound too encouraging. I have read many reviews on the internet written by people who have alternately tried the Brazilian Treatment with a formaldehyde based formula, and then a formaldehyde-free one. In most cases, the formaldehyde solution is much more effective. But the question remains valid – are you ready to risk your health for the beauty of your hair?" |

Dang what a rip off!
Not that I would do it unless its formaldehyde-free, though. I have virgin hair. 5/30/2011 11:06:13 PM |

Keratin treatments as they are (were?) have been outlawed in NC due to the gaseous formaldehyde by-product
I'd make sure you're not getting bamboozled before going through with whatever they're offering 5/31/2011 3:16:38 AM |

^ i think the old treatments were outlawed. unless people confuse the brazilian straightening treatment for the keratin treatment, i have friends who have gotten it done here.

the after-treatment stuff is expensive. my boyfriend's sister had the keratin treatment done last year and she was telling me how much the shampoo/conditioner/treatment stuff cost.5/31/2011 8:14:15 AM |
