Shit looks really good, and the guy mentioned loot, which is always good in a game like this. I just hope it is open world with things to do other than just run around killing things. This is what killed it for Red Faction Armageddon for me since an open world in non-existent, as in Red faction Guerilla you could run around in a beautiful and engaging world. I know I asked this about Bulletstorm but what sets it apart from every other FPS? It looks good, but many games do these days.

I haven't even heard that Borderlands 2 was coming out and Diablo 3 is so far out that I might as well pretend it doesn't exist.

Starting to get interested in The Witcher 2 though.

I have had games that default at medium with my current set-up (Fallout 3 and Borderlands) and I can run both of them maxed out at the same time probably. This is utter bullshit.

No early reviews is a bad sign?

I am not really saying it is, but it seems common practice to have a review 1-2 days before release. I still got my figered crossed; just over the past 2 days my eagerness to play this game has plaummeted from 10 to 5 on a scale of 1-10. This has to do with the auto-detection for the graphics and no eary review. I still got 'hope'.

I bought this yesterday and wasn't impressed the missions seem to go like this...talk to this person, now go talk to this person, now go do this and come back...repeat. Although the more I play it the better it gets. Definitely not worth $50, but considering I only paid $20 for it I can't complain to much.

I tried this game out for a while. I got tired of unloading half a clip into enemies. They even seem to take multiple head shots. It seems like most encounters go as follows:

* If it's a stealth kill it's a one hit kill. If they see you you're almost guaranteed to have to hit them at least twice... even if it's a sniped head shot.

* If they get in close they can knock you back 30 feet with their melee attack.

* It's better to just melee kill enemies because often you just have to unload a half clip into something before it will go down.

* Sometimes it seems like the game forces the fallen enemy animation. The fallen enemy animation where they bend over or lie down when wounded happens way too often. I'm convinced that half the time it happens I already put enough lead into an enemy for it to stay down, but the 'fallen' animation happens all the same. I've found that shooting a few times, waiting for the inevitable animation, then shooting a few more times is the obligatory method. Otherwise you'll just end up wasting bullets. Completely unload 300 rounds into the peon grunt's head? Too bad, this was one of those times we wanted to show the fallen/recovery animation so you're going to have to shoot 50 more bullets in a little while.

Just got this game. It is definitely a hybrid between Borderlands and Fallout with AMAZING graphics. I have the 360 version and am currently playing it on hard. I haven't experienced any of the issues you stated.

I once owned a Goodfellas dvd that was so old it actually had an A side and a B side. I didn't realize this at first, so I was really confused when the movie just stopped randomly after Joe Pesci shoots 1800 tequila guy in the foot. Eventually I looked at the dvd and realized that I had to flip it over to finish the movie, and I was able to resume my movie. That's what playing this game was like, except there is no side B. Fun, entertaining game but it felt like they just decided to stop halfway through and call it a day.

^^^ pretty much my sum up of this. Really enjoyed the game, but was robbed by no epic final boss fight, or no real story at all. I guess it was just a beta test of the idtech5 engine for doom 4.

last half of the game was significantly more fun than the first half.

The only thing I remember about the ending was wanting to conserve ammo for the BFG they give you near the end of the game. There was going to be an epic fight and I wanted to make sure I had the best gun available. I kept waiting for a situation where the gun was needed, the game ended before that situation presented itself, then I was that I never got to use the BFG.
