What are the primary political positions that suggest someone is a Republican?

i.e. pro-life, pro-gun, etc.

Political parties are dumb...just think what you wanna think and don't worry about which party that puts you in.

^ all I heard was "derp de derp derp derp"

anyways, the big one is being a bit devout with your religion... that's always been a conservative value and the republican party is the conservative party

if you're a bit hawkish that's a republican trait

if you hate poor people or a system that tolerates poor people than you're probably republican

The dichotomy between conservative and liberal has really existed ever sense governance became a thing.

In all societies at all times.

Conservatives want to drive us towards a fascist totalitarian awfulness while liberals want to lead us towards chaos and anarchy. The goal is to keep both of these forces in check and build up the center of reasonableness, sensibleness, and moderation.

We have a country so full of idiots that they'll vote themselves out of a democratic country given the chance

Then the Electoral College will have to call on the Justice League

Here's one:

If you are in the very small minority of the population that knows Flag Day is in less than 48 hours.

Yeah that's right motherfucker. What now?

I agree with nastoute; some variant of "schools need prayer" or "God's Law trumps the Constitution" is a dead giveaway...

let's see, I'm registered as a Republican:

Pro-freedom, essentially... as in pro-choice in most issues
Pro-firearms
Pro-choice
Pro-gay marriage
Pro-green/clean energy
Pro-scheduled/tiered/etc mechanisms to end oil use, inefficient products (i.e. light bulbs, etc)
Pro-wildlife/forest conservation
Pro-immigration reform
Pro-education reform
Pro-educating and placing the poor (read welfare recipients) in better jobs
Anti-deportation (as a blanket policy)
Anti-tax (either fair tax or lower taxes in general, but with the rich still paying more)
Ant-big gov't
Anti-religion (with respect to religion & gov't intermingling, including in schools)
Anti-foreign aid (needs to be severely cut; doesn't always provide aid, see africa)
Anti-political correctness
Anti-race based/gender/nationality/religious benefits
Anti-welfare state

Thinks the recession had more to do with individual citizens "taking loans they could not afford" and nothing to do with mortgage companies signing customers up for loans with exploding rates or without qualifying their customer.
