haha i watched the sequels. they were fucking horrible. the original is alright i guess but i never understood why it had such a cult following like it does. I guess teenagers really like any excuse to dress all in black and mope around campus?

Kind of ahead of its time if you think about how many movies are now based on comic books lately.

re: cult following

That was my primary interest in watching it , to see what that was all about. I had always been peripherally aware there was some following, but I never bothered to look up what the movie was about or why it had the following it did. I think you're right though, angsty kids like to wear creepy face makeup and talk about injustice

Wasn't a terrible movie per se, but I wasn't all that entertained

this film has a decent sound track. city of angels had a decent one as well.

don't forget the short lived TV series as well. I used to watch it in an action block with Renegade

I never liked the movie, admittedly, because the whole goth thing creeps me the fuck out.

but it had a fucking phenomenal soundtrack.

Holy crap I had no idea they did more than 2 of these movies.

The soundtracks for the first and second are great, as mentioned. I definitely bought both of them back in the day, and still have them.

I liked this movie when it came out and listened to the soundtrack all the time. It probably hasn't aged well. City of Angels sucked. I still think The Triads or some Chinese gang killed Bruce Lee and his son.

Has one of the top 3 soundtracks of all time. Factual and IMO.

The movie itself was good, but not great. I liked it.

I remember another bad movie propped up by its soundtrack that came out at about the same time. Anyone else remember Judgment Night?
