I have definitely had some fatties for pets. These 2 are sisters:
This is my Snuggles (RIP!)
And this is my favorite girl Snoopy:
Snuggles got up to about 25 lbs at her heaviest and I think Snoopy is somewhere around 20, although my parents say she is losing weight. Poor Snooper is also diabetic and has insulin shots every morning!

You understand that when cats get that big, it's because you over feed them right?
You could save money and the cat's health at the same time by reducing the amount of food you supply to them. 6/29/2011 7:05:39 PM |

There have been 4 cats living in our house for a very long time. Two of which are fat, and 2 of which are normal cat size (including their mom). It's kind of hard to regulate who eats how much when they're all fed together. That being said, Snuggles never ate more than any of the other cats and when we put them on diet cat food, no one ate it and they all became very lethargic. And yes, we changed the food gradually as you're supposed to. Snoopy only ballooned after she became diabetic.
We don't know who their father is, but I'm thinking they got some fat genes from him haha. 6/29/2011 7:30:23 PM |
