Where's the best spot at the art museum to watch the fireworks? I don't feel like fighting the crowds at the fairgrounds.

Raleigh fireworks all gon get canceled if that huge wall of rain keeps developing.

I've been hearing thunder in Cary for the last 10-15 mins, so this might be a lame independence day for a lot of you.

It's pouring north of 540 and the radar doesn't look promising. I was gonna go picnic with a friend, but so much for that...

Copied from WRAL: BREAKING NEWS: THE CITY OF RALEIGH HAS CANCELED MONDAY NIGHT'S FOURTH OF JULY FIREWORKS CELEBRATION BECAUSE OF SEVERE WEATHER. THEY HAVE BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR 9 P.M. TUESDAY.

When considering what I witnessed the last time I went to the fairgrounds for 4th of July, lightning would be considered a better show.

Saw a total of 2 fireworks tonight. Was eating at sonic, then on the drive home saw a few random ones. I was going to check out the Cary fireworks since I've done the fairgrounds before, which obviously didn't work out.

There were a ton of people shooting fireworks in my neighborhood in Cary. Several still are, actually.

My physics teacher this morning made the statement that "Last year, we were in the middle of a drought, and it rained on July 4th. This year, we're in the middle of a drought, and it rains on July 4th. From now on, whenever we're in the middle of a drought, we just need to declare every third or 4th day "July 4th"."

Also, WRAL said 9? I read on a different page that in case of rain they would be Tuesday at 9:45... ah well.
Who's going tonight?

I'll turn around at my table outside at trivia and watch it whenever they start... but that's as far as I'm going

^the two games w/ fireworks I went to were both amazing... remember to get an extra beer before cut off though because the fireworks took about 20 minutes after the game ended to get going, and then they went on for a good 10 minutes

Anybody have experience with Cary vs. Raleigh on the fireworks? I could do either but just want something that I can get some nice pictures.

They're both about the same from my experience. Depends how cheap the two intend on being each year.
