Are there aquatic plants that work well in the aquarium which are pretty prostrate to the gravel, like no more than an inch off the floor and with somewhat of a closed canopy
im thinking somethingt htat may spread to cover most of the floor. Also in a similar vein, are there any organisms that can sustain themselves as forage for your fish. Something like an amphipod, and where can you get things liek this as they dont really sell them in hobbyist stores to my knowledge.

i just looked it up, i would prefer a rooted plant to algae
