Does anyone have any suggestions for a set of tires for a 07 Grand Cherokee 4x4.
I do not go off road so I'm concerned with on road performance. It came with the factory Goodyear Fortera's..they lasted a whopping 39,000 miles...which really probably should have been replaced @ 30,000 but I'm being unsafe & milking them down to the bottom. The ride quality has finally gotten so bad I'm going to spend the money.
I'd like a quiet tire that doesn't have balancing issues..I've read reviews on some tires & they seem tougher to balance than others for some reason.
Tire size 245 65 17 Blackwall...everyone says you can just turn them around, but I don't want to see the white letters underneath from behind...I'm anal.
I've been looking at:
Goodyear Assurance CS Fuel Max Tires - anyone have any experience with these?
Michelin Latitude Tour Tires were recommended by Colony...but I also read a few reviews saying they had a hard time getting them balanced correctly & vibrations at speeds about 45.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

unless you have a habit of cleaning the inside sidewall of your tires, you won't be able to tell the letters are white after a month of driving 8/8/2011 1:40:35 PM |

I only roll with Michelins. I'm drawing a blank right now. But. I can check tomorrow to see what model they are.

I have an 09 Grand Cherokee and I just got some Fortera All Terrains and they perform really well so far, only about 1k miles on them 8/14/2011 12:26:28 AM |

Michelin LTX M/S, as others have said, is the best quality tire in my opinion for truck/suv. However, they are nearly the most expensive, especially for a 17 inch wheel.
Michelin usually has a $70 rebate.. check here http://www.michelinman.com/savings/
the wholesale clubs (bjs, sams) usually have a similar tire called Michelin X Radial. 8/15/2011 7:41:19 PM |

Michelin LTX M/S
Like everyone said, they're more money up front but will last forever. Great all-around tire. 10/4/2011 9:47:13 AM |
