I think Fike hasn't won anything since winning the baseball title while I was there

They did get to the championship game a year or 2 after I graduated, they played in Carter-Finley and it was weird to me

I remember a couple years ago, when I got to watch my East Lincoln Mustangs play in Carter-Finley. Sure they lost, but it was a great experience, and one I wish I had as a football player.

Now I get the chance to help players develop, and maybe one day, lead a team on a playoff run as head JV coach/assistant varsity coach for East Gaston soccer (as well as middle school soccer/basketball coach at Mt. Holly Middle).

Ha I remember that year. We lost to Fike 8-6 in our homecoming and lost our best player for the season with a dislocated foot and broken leg. Wake Forest also pulled their scholarship offer after that game to him. You guys had Antonio Humphries who everyone said was going to kill it in HS after all he did in middle school and PeeWees....but he never grew any taller from PeeWees. ha

I played for Smithfield-Selma.
