yeah i think the whole listing out everyone's great attributes was a page straight out of Michael's book. definitely something he would have done. 9/23/2011 9:13:08 AM |

I guess. But I saw it more as showing Andy isn't just some goofy jackass and that he can actually be a good boss and stand up to his superior on the behalf of his employees. How often did Michael do that? 9/23/2011 9:17:37 AM |

This show should've ended like 3 seasons ago. We get it, the show was funny you don't have to keep reminding us

This episode was quite solid, especially compared to my expectations.
I do hope for at least a handful of Michael Scott cameos though.
Really not enjoying Pam this episode, though maybe that just means I'm a chauvinist

I think they are easing Pam off the show, she seems like a say at home mom. I'd be surprised to see a Michael Scott cameo since he moved to Colorado, but maybe Holly's dad dies and they come back.
Robert California has a TON of potential, if he starts using ball point pens. 9/23/2011 2:12:15 PM |

ive missed quite a few seasons...
but im not being a dick or anything, i just remember them saying that they were ending the series a couple seasons back, so thats why i kinda lost interest, plus no lie, there were a lot of changes that just didnt sit well with me.
i guess there are no plans to end the series? 9/23/2011 2:14:37 PM |

I doubt this has any relevance, but I wonder if Jack Donaghy said it best about NBC when he said they were cutting out all of the things that don't work?
Clearly The Office works. They've been able to get Will Ferrell and James Spader and a host of others to come in and play a role. People are still watching. 9/23/2011 2:22:04 PM |
aimorris All American 15213 Posts user info edit post |
yeah even though Community/Parks and Rec are solid shows, The Office is the only one that gets ratings. NBC will do anything to keep that show going. I'm not sure I ever heard anything about it ending anyways though 9/23/2011 2:26:07 PM |

im not saying they are not but i was expressing that i had fallen out of touch with it, im glad its still running it was a great show and probably still is.
i just like that old thing, no biggie lol. There was a certain charm with the first couple of seasons and the cast. I cant imagine watching it with no michael scott 9/23/2011 3:05:02 PM |

I'll take a mediocre Office and an awesome Parks and Rec+Community over them bringing back some shitball like Outsourced.
And Whitney kept me interested for about 5 seconds, only because she had that gun necklace, and I was all "what's that about?" 9/23/2011 4:46:00 PM |

Outsourced was actually pretty funny.
But yeah - happy the Office is back in a good way. I thought the Will Ferrel episodes almost killed the show after what I thought was shaping up to be a really good season. They handled Michael's exit really well.
I like Andy as the boss, but I hope its temporary. I think Darryl will end up with the spot eventually. And Robert California is great. 9/23/2011 7:42:36 PM |

^ This. Last season, and possibly the season before, were ruined by focusing too much on Pam (and Jim).
Seasons 3/4 will always be the peak, in my opinion. But then again, maybe I'm just acclimated to the show now. 9/23/2011 9:37:28 PM |

I was surprised to see Gabe still around, but I guess it makes since seeing as how Robert California replaced Jo.
I still think he's the Scranton Strangler. The end of "Michael's Last Dundies" was too weird for that plot line to just be dropped. 9/24/2011 1:09:40 AM |

This episode had the worst cold opening in the history of the show. I didn't like it at all.
Good episode after that though, despite the slow beginning.
