I watched every episode, but I don't think it's going to be as good as you remember it.

as I remember it? It's not like AD is a show that I'm nostalgic for. I still watch it regularly.

It's pretty dated now. All references to Saddam and such. Even the humor seems a little corny when I watch it now.

Will audiences connect with a rich, obnoxious family in these troubled economic times? It isn't the wild early 2000's anymore. I say the reboot will fall flat on its face.

It was even starting to suck in the third season. All in-jokes and self-referential lines, silly plotlines and characters that had become stereotypes of their former selves.

We'll wait and see. There is much better TV comedy out now, like Louie. It's a different world.

There is MUCH better TV comedy out there right now? and Louie was the only one you can name?

Louie is great and all, but not even close.

^ it's not bad, and if you don't have Prime you can do a free month preview. Just in the last 2 months they have add a lot of new and quality Movies and TV shows, but Prime still doesn't have the library Netflix does.

i like the that with the Prime member you get 20 GB Cloud drive, free two day shipping, and instant streaming. it's a sweet deal for $79.00 for a year.

^specially once they keep adding more stuff. I just have the student prime right now and I have been buying shit a lot from amazon in the last year since everything is basically free shipping. Even I buy stuff for friends who don't have prime. I may buy the prime next year once my student version runs out since I buy (plus family) enough stuff from amazon to justify the cost. It's basically the online version of BJ's now, almost everything on there.

Umm... yeah?!?! If they write it good enough. Look at Two and a Half Men. Rich uncle, rich mom, poor brother now to rich billion dumbass child. The Booth family wasn't all rich. Why do you think they were living in the model home and driving an airport stairs truck? lol

Also, While I like Louie, it's not a good example of being one of the better comedy shows on tv right now. The stand up portions in the show makes up for the crappy story about his mildly funny life.

the writing of 2.5 men and AD are so completely different you can't even begin to compare the two in terms of relatability.

true, the type of jokes and style of delivery are completely different but its a modern comedy tv show that has thrived in these troubled economic times that showcase a rich family... That's the only connection I was trying to make.

Quote :
"The Arrested Development run of ten episodes that will air on Netflix is set to start filming tomorrow. We’ve been counting the days until the moment and it is finally upon us! Deadline reports that the entire original cast of Jason Bateman, Jeffrey Tambor, Portia de Rossi, David Cross, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett, Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat and Tony Hale will be returning along with Ron Howard in his capacity as a narrator. That’s one character per episode, which may factor into the idea that each episode will focus on one of the Bluths, likely with multiple characters in certain episodes. (Could we get an episode all about the narrator, maybe?)

Production is expected to continue into the fall. Creator Mitch Hurwitz is open to an additional season if the first run proves successful. Netflix has said they’ll release all ten episodes at the same time on an unspecified day in 2013."
