Anyone record their guitar using either or these two devices with the iPad or iPhone? I want to invest so that I record, but it seems that both are pretty tied in reviews...

If you use either of those devices, please let me know why so that I can make a decision. The idea is a clean recording option within the resources I have.

not to derail the thread, but you can make some nice clean recordings on an average PC or Mac using various free software like Adobe Audition (formerly Syntrillium CoolEdit)

You're not derailing the thread I don't think. That's another option I haven't considered. Is there a certain kind of cable and/or sound card I need to make it work?
