Cooke Street Carnival 2011: The Sideshow - this coming Saturday (October 15, 2011) All kinds of awesomeness will be going on from 1pm - 6pm. Bring cans for the Food Bank of Eastern NC. Nests, The Tomahawks, and The Small Ponds are playing the main stage. it's probably a good idea to have a carnival while the state fair is going on. I'd much rather attend a carnival than the fair.

CSC has never suffered from a lack of attendance. Plus it has beer. And homemade barbecue. And OnlyBurger.

If you live near this thing or know somebody that lives on Cooke St, it's worth it. I personally wouldn't drive any amount of distance for it.

The beer last year was Aviator (gross), and Only Burger showed up late and had a limited menu and a huge line. I don't remember anything about homemade BBQ, but not sure it matters if it's homemade as long as it's worth a damn...

There were other food trucks there well before Only Burger showed up, so there wasn't a lack of food.

I had a good time last year.

Carolina Brewing company and Aviator Beer will be out there today.

4 food trucks confirmed as of last night (didn't catch names, but I'm pretty sure Klausey's Pizza is one of them)
