There's a recent trend of the 12:50 throwaway sketch being the best of the night.

SNL sucks more often than not

i just wait for people to tell me about the skits that were funny and then i go watch those individually...no reason to sit through a full painful episode

SNL would work much better on Tuesday night, when people are home anyway and there isn't shit else on

Wouldn't have the same ring to it, but adapt or die

Chris Rock had some interesting insight on why SNL doesn't play to most of the black cast members' strengths on a WTF podcast last week

nothing racist about the staff, but he said it's tough for them to write for black cast members because they didn't grow up the same way in the same areas

can definitely see where he's coming from

Yeah, I'm with you.

Somewhat amusing: Sudeikis as devil, "sexy" bridal party, tech humping

Way too realistic: "Someone Like You" sketch; the only way it woulda been more real for me is if they immediately hit repeat instead of going out Bobby Moynihan as the window washer made it kinda funny.

Errythang else was pretty crappy, and the bazillion recurring sketches they always do with Kristen Wiig are so tedious.

this cast needs some fresh blood.

if only snl could return to the glory days.

that's one thing about this type of production - they're only as good as the talent they retain

last season was great and this season has been pretty damn good, there's always been meh episodes, even during the "glory days", tends to happen when you have a week to write and produce an hour and a half long weekly live sketch show. take the good and take the bad. sex party actually was pretty good, and tech humping was okay. the rest was just meh. the opening was a like a qword for word recreation of the actual debate so that was kind of dumb

this week's sucked pretty hard

the digital short was really not funny to me at all, except Jason Sudeikis peeing on Andy Samberg. that's funny in any context.

That was the worst digital short I've ever seen.

I actually like the current cast a lot, I hope Jay Pharoah keeps progressing

Andy Samberg needs to take a break from the digital shorts, they have been awful all season. He should do like 3-4 a season and focus on making them good, they seem very rushed and watered down nowadays

Man that character is annoying. He's like this generation's Mr. Peepers/Mango. Every time he comes up it's like I guess the next thing that might be funny is still at least 5 minutes from now.

Still I guess that character trends well, otherwise they wouldn't have him on every week, doing the commercials, and showing up on the Christmas card.

His acting was turrible, but I laughed at several skits. I really like Drunk Uncle though. Bobby Moynihan does a pretty damn good job.
