Took snippets of video that I'm sure every president can be quoted for saying.

That this is mostly stuff that "every president can be quoted for saying" is true.

I think the video is actually pretty effective. The comparison to Carter is totally fair game, and there is some substance behind it.

Blaming him for the economy is a valid as blaming any president for the economy. Stimulus + bailouts will be important enough to define the election, and one of the few things Repub candidates have a fighting chance on. This is the general type of ad I would make if I was running against Obama.
