I am missing the leaves, the birds, the bugs (even though I like winter too). So post some cool nature pics so we can plan places to visit in the spring/summer, or at least give us hope through the winter months that the sun will come back.

winter is the best time to hike, I think. No snakes, less overgrowth, more spacious views.

^ that is very true, the only time I take my dog hiking is in the winter just because she gets into so much stuff. Although this indian summer Raleigh has going on apparently allowed spiders to remain active enough to bite.
