probably zero chance of me going this year . apparently mogwai will be playing, and a new clue will be leaked tomorrow. i really shouldn't get into this. it's just gonna make me sad.

side note, does anyone have any posters from 2008, 2010 or 2011 that they would be willing to part with? specifically i've been trying to track down the 2011 lineup poster with the kid sticking his tongue out, the my morning jacket posters from 2008 and 2011, and an arcade fire poster (i think they had one), but i'm not having much luck. i hate myself for only buying the black keys' poster last year.

I'd love to see Mogwai, but odds are I wont make it for the second year in a row.

Haven't even really considered going back to be honest. Enjoyed myself in 2010, but I can do without 4 days of oppressive heat and crowds this go around.

Red Hot Chili Peppers supposedly headlining. May be skipping Bonnaroo this year.

Bands more or less confirmed: RHCP as a headliner, Phish as a headliner, The Roots, Battles, Mogwai, The Black Lips, Robert Randolph, Tame Impala, The War on Drugs, Tune-Yards

apparently M83 won't be playing. that'd be a killer late night now. i bet coachella's lineup ends up being better this year even though the headliners are kinda lame other than radiohead

Radiohead's the third headliner. Major Lazer will also be there. Chances of my being there this year just went up by about 400%.

god damn what is it with bonnaroo being unable to land more than 1 good headliner? and of course when i can't go radiohead decides to headline and also doesn't book a date in DC on their tour.

For what they are, I'd argue Phish is a great headliner. I'm not into them, but there's a ton of people who are. Obviously, Bonnaroo always has 1 jamband headliner and Phish is way more respected than their peers, the Widespread Panics and Furthurs of the world.

I mean, you could say that they landed the biggest, best contemporary-ish headlining-level band (Radiohead), the best jam band (Phish), and a totally shitty band that was once good and still has a lot of mainstream draw (Chili Peppers). I'd say they're off to a good start.

I wanna see The Beach Boys with Brian Wilson on the lineup.

LOL forgot about Further. Also, Moe, Allman Brothers Band (as it is now; I'm sure they're still touring), a lot of people in that clique like Galactic, etc etc etc

Any chance they'll be replaced by Kenny Wayne Sheppard and/or the Derek Trucks Band? What about Hootie?

^haha

^^yeah, it'll likely be Red Hot Chili Peppers>Phish on either Friday or Saturday night (most likely Saturday night) and Radiohead with a full headlining set on the other day (most likely Friday)...so, yeah, odds are on RHCPs playing, like, 8-10 on Saturday night. Then Phish will headline Sunday night (two sets from Phish).

I need to set up a way to get a soundboard bootleg of Phish's set so I can put it in my collection of 23892304920394 other bootlegged tapes.

Sasquatch lineup is out. If bonnaroo gets beck, jack white and spiritualized late night I will probably break down in tears.

But I may be going to outside lands since i'll be in California for 3 months this summer, so i'm hoping for radiohead/beck crossovers. And I know either superfly or ac entertainment does OL, so i'll keep my fingers crossed

You were right, Rat Soup, one set from Phish. Also it now seems like RHCPs may be co-headlining on Saturday with an older act. I don't know who it is yet, but smart money is on Prince, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, or The Beach Boys reunion tour.

Also, as far as late nights, Major Lazer may or may not be in anymore, but FlyLo is definitely in.

i bet they started scrambling after the coachella lineup came out in an attempt to get someone big enough to put them on the same footing. i'll be furious if they get prince since i can't make it this year, but those would be incredible headliners. i'm not really into phish, but as you said before, you might as well get them if you have to have a jam band headliner.

a lot of it is probably pretty accurate, but i doubt that's the official lineup. drake is a bit too high for my preference, although my preference would be to not have him there at all.

^Yep. That's not the lineup, but a lot of those names will be on there. Bunch of names officially leaked this morning on Knoxville.com:

Black Star, Punch Brothers, Civil Wars, Needtobreathe, Umphrey's McGee, Flogging Molly, Ludacris, Alice Cooper, Feist, Aziz Ansari, Skrillex, Foster the People, The Shins, The Avett Brothers, Beach Boys, Bon Iver, Phish, Radiohead

He's incredibly tiresome. I was subjected to one of his stand ups on the way to bonnaroo in 2010 and couldn't believe how unfunny he is.

Super pumped about this lineup, I think it's the best lineup Bonnaroo has put together. Really excited for Radiohead, The Beach Boys, Bon Iver, The Shins, SBTRKT, Flying Lotus, Little Dragon, Major Lazer, St. Vincent, Black Star, Bad Brains, The Roots, Battles, Black Lips, Kendrick Lamar, The War on Drugs, Kurt Vile, Laura Marling, Mogwai...hell of a lineup IMO.

Usually there are a bunch of embarrassing names on the lineup, this year Dispatch and K-Flay are the only real cringe-worthy names.

^tbh, I don't really care about seeing Jack solo unless he's doing White Stripes songs.
