so speculation in the market is bad and intellectual property abuse is bad. i has solution. what if you made it totally free to use anything you want as a start-up but when it comes time to scale-up, the speculators are made to foot the bill for the initial piracy.

ok ok, so here is more details of what I was thinking last night. The way it works now is there is a blanket illegality and civil liability for acquiring sharing and using intellectual property right? Chilling effect on the timid and the poor all that stuff right? IP holders waste resources protecting their stuff. There is also enforcement and civil suits but it's not applied fairly. The better a person you are, the less you get to enjoy the benefits of piracy, that's not fair and it's not good for society. plus, what enforcement there is is paid for by the middle class that can't avoid taxes. What I am thinking is make it totally legal to use, acquire, share IP to get the benefit of the increased innovation but then whichever group is most successful and thus gets all the venture capital money then has a skeleton in the closet. The old piracy. They eventually have to pay the bill for the property that they used. The cost is carried like a negative asset (liability) and only gets paid if the usage of that property is successful. The people who create IP will then WANT to get their stuff into the hands.... ok now this is starting to sound like reinventing a wheel only less round. NVM. btw to anybody that remembers me at all, back in Shanghai after Indonesia. Indo is such a dump. They will never have Solar.

This is pretty much what happens anyway. Young entrepreneurs break laws, rape the earth and use the people around and under them until they strike it big. Then they panic and try to clean up their act before the government comes after them.
