Rottentomatoes isn't my sole basis of judgement for a movie though. However, I'm sure they are probably right about this film. It's sad that they can't make a decent film for one of Marvel's best characters

There have been some films I happened to love that were so polarizing as to get around ~50% (e.g. The Fountain).

But seriously, when a film scores 14% should there really be any doubt? If you're not sure, than may I recommend "Epic Movie"? http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/epic_movie/

Yes there should be doubt.

I guarantee this movie is highly entertaining.

Nicolas Cage is the most watchable actor alive because he's either great or hilariously bad.

And The Fountain sucks.

Also this is made by the guys that made Crank and Crank 2. Despite the lack of an R rating there is bound to be some incredible shit.

Most of the time, no.

However there are exceptions to the rule on both sides of the scale

All of the Twilight movies are rated higher than this and I would rather have my face burned off than watch any of those movies. Hell, the first Twilight got a motherfucking 49%. Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK?!?!

The Boondock Saints currently has a 17% on rottentomatoes and is one of my all time favorite movies. Not only that, but it has an audience review of 93%. The fucking sequel (which is an abomination compared to the first film) is actually rated higher by the critics than the original. That is absolutely hilarious.

The job/opinion of a movie critic, ESPECIALLY on rottentomatoes, is an absolute joke.

17% is too high for Boondock Saints

the first Ghost Rider was one of the worst things I've ever seen. not even really in a funny way either. most bad Nicolas Cage movies are at least funny.

i watched it, it is nowhere near as bad as the first one, but it is also not that good. it has a couple of those crazy Nic Cage moments where he starts yelling for no reason- but to me they almost felt forced, like "hey people love this when you do it in other movies so do it here"

i would say don't waste your money on it

Well Ghost Rider 2 has an audience review of 36%, so it's got that going for it.
