Very possible since frequency of unintended pregnancy correlates extremely well with poverty, so there's a pretty clear case to be made that a lot of people who don't want to get pregnant are getting pregnant, and providing them with an easy option (Like the pill, which doesn't hurt the fun-ness of sex like condoms) will reduce that.

Three years would probably make up for the oil that goes into the plastic and rubber inside the car. The fossil fuels that actually go into the manufacturing, both of the individual parts and assembly, would take much longer to make the trade CO2-negative overall.
