I thought extreme sports games were dead, too. But this proved me wrong. Getting great reviews everywhere. I highly recommend it.

Ha, the SSX 2 (whatever it was called) probably took up like 90% of my sophomore year in HS.

I geeked a little bit when I saw made. Made me all nostalgic about SSX, hot shots golf, metal gear solid, etc.

Played the demo and am not very impressed. Not much innovation except the physics have gone to hell and you feel more like a pinball than a snowboarder. Soundtrack is probably awesome though.

I don't have a lot of time each night to play (currently on peak 4 of the 9 deadly descents) but here are my only critiques so far:

-i like more of a career mode to the story... so far there has been no reason to level someone up or buy gear because i'll be forced to use someone else at the next peak.

-there are a lot of places to fall off the mountains. the rewind is fine on trick competitions (losing 10k points isn't a big deal when you're scoring in the millions) but on races, if it was close at all, rewinding screws you.

-wingsuit physics are tricky, if you're not pointing the exact right direction when you hit it, you often can't pull up fast enough, which leads to rewinding......

-maybe i just don't see it... but in races, it doesn't seem to tell you the times of the other racers at the finish. like when i come in 2nd, i want to know how much time i lost by.
