Yeah when it was one game for a 16 seed it was just the worst two auto qualifiers.

Now it's the four worst auto qualifiers and the last four in at large bids basically

The single play in game was always between the two worst teams in the field to determine who would fillout the last 16th seed. When they expanded to 68 they did it to add at large teams and to compensate for a new conference. To ensure fairness the first four is for the four worst teams in the field (auto qualifiers) and the bottom four at large teams.

Jerry Palm has us predicted as an 11 seed matching up against St. Mary's in the first round and then probably Marquette in the 2nd.

Those are both very winnable games. All in Nashville.

After curbstomping those fools, we move on to phoenix where we pull out nailbiters against Kansas and Ohio State.

Then we trounce Kentucky in Nola before going on to defeat UNC in the championship game.
