the last time i saw us play in the NCAAT was when they called the touch foul on Hodge against Caron Butler and then Evtimov hit a three and drew the foul to tie it near the buzzer except the ref refused to call the foul.

the last time i went to see us play in the ACCT i got taken out in handcuffs before our game even started for taunting all the UNC fans on their way out after their loss to GT.


I dont mess with postseason games anymore. They just take too much of a toll.

The UNC team is slightly overrated but not monumentally overrated.

When you take arguably their best player off the team (Henson) of course they are more pedestrian and it shouldn't come as a surprise that FSU beat them.

Their chances rest on Henson because they just don't shoot well enough to avoid getting beat by a hot team if they can't dominate the interior and glass with Muppet Henson and Fuzzy Zeller.

i posted this on reddit earlier:

it seems like iona simply passed the eye test. 1st in ppg, 1st in apg, 2nd in fg%. notable ooc games include purdue, maryland, and richmond. (not world beaters, but teams that tend to be good every year)

compare that to a team like drexel who was left out: 249 in ppg, 210 in apg, and 165 in fg%. aside from drexel's significantly worse SoS, i think their ultimate undoing was only scoring 35 in their only real test against virginia. in contrast, iona put up 90 on purdue.

(this isn't taking into account other teams that got left out)
