Anyone here play World Tavern Poker at any of the local bars? It's basically a free poker league where you play for points and can win prizes and stuff. Looking for some folks to play with.

its pretty fun most of the time.

you will meet tons of different types of people. a few cool people, some douchebags, a few crazy people, and some people that take it way too seriously.

it was also a good way to meet people that either have home cash games, or people that would fit well in yours.

i scored the first $1200 of my wife's engagement ring from a home poker game i found this way.

ended up moving away from raleigh to blacksburg, va. not much of poker scene there. now im in richmond and ive been thinking about going to a few world tavern events here.
