Anyone know how to add a bigger hard drive in an xBox, as well as how to format the hard drive? This one does not have the external HD

^ That's the way to go. Heck its not even really more expensive than buying a blank 320GB drive.

There is a slot on the right side towards the back where one goes in.

It doesn't attach on the outside like the old ones and they are actually smaller.

yeah i made mine out of an old 320gig usb drive that was having trouble drawing enough power through usb.

but the same drive costs almost 100bucks new (i got mine for 55 but that was way before the flooding etc)

Like i said in the pm... mine *almost* didn't work. it took me 4 hours of dicking with bios settings to get it so the program formatted the drive correctly.

And to be honest i'm afraid to try it with someone else's materials.

just buy the damn drive and put it in the console.
